ROOM SPECIFIC RESTRICTIONS

• LIFE AFTER DEATH – This room has limited lighting in most areas for atmosphere. You are provided with torches. There are some loud noises. Room is of a mildly sinister nature.

• THE BLETCHLEY TEST/ OPERATION: MINCE PIE! - This room is fairly small and has limited head height (approx. 5’ at lowest point) in some places, so some kneeling and ducking will be required. Seating is provided.

BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS

• Our rooms can hold teams of different sizes. The maximum number of people is stated for each room on the website and this must not be exceeded.

• Only persons over the age of 16 may make a booking and they are responsible for gaining permission to book on behalf of the other team members.

• Prices vary depending on the number of players per game and are advertised on the website. These are subject to change. 
  
   
• Bookings are made in advance via the website or at short notice, over the phone. The payment platform used is Square. Full payment is required at the time of booking.
  
   
• Corporate bookings and bespoke packages incorporating large groups over multiple rooms are welcomed. These will need to be made after a discussion about your specific needs with payment taken over the phone.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

• Cancellations made 48 hours or more in advance of the booking will be offered a full refund, or a change of date/time, whichever your group would prefer.

• For cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance of the booking, no refund will be offered. Depending on availability we may however be able to rearrange your game for a mutually agreeable date/time.

• If you need to reduce the number of team members that you have paid for, a refund of the difference can be given when over 48 hours notice is received. If less than 48 hours’ notice is given, or fewer people than those paid for turn up on the day, no refund will be issued. 

• You may add extra players to your booking up to the room maximum, and the extra cost must be paid in full by cash or card on arrival.

• Late arrivals may not be able to have the full 60 minutes in the game room. Entry may be declined if a team is late by more than 15 minutes from the start time of their booked slot. This is due to the impact it will have on following team in that room. In such a case, no refund will be offered and the booking is not changeable. If you are running late, we must be notified at the earliest convenience by phone.

• Purchases on the website will be confirmed by email and are valid when fully processed by Enigma Escape. 

• Bookings may not be resold for profit or commercial purposes but may be transferred into another name. This can be organised by contacting us by email or telephone prior to the booked arrival time.

SAFETY/CHILDREN PLAYING

• Each player is subject to a pre-game briefing from their game’s leader, after which they participate at their own risk. Enigma Escape is not responsible for injury/damages caused by not following the rules/procedures as outlined in the briefing.

• People under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be turned away and no refund or rearrangement will be offered.

• Your games leader may interrupt your game or end your game time early if they feel safety has been breached. In such circumstances, no refund will be given.

• All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult (over 18) who must remain on site at all times. If you wish to bring a child under the age of 10, this is at the discretion of the accompanying adults. We advise that any children under the age of 10 are accompanied by adult supervision inside the room, with one paying adult for every 3 children. 
  
   
• Enigma Escape does not tolerate any kind of aggression or harassment towards its staff or other members of the public. Others are to be treated with respect at all times.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to affect your statutory rights.

• These terms and conditions and any contract incorporating these terms and conditions shall be governed by English law and all disputes may be submitted to a court of law.

• Food and drink are not permitted to be consumed inside your game room.

• Dogs are not permitted on site.
  
   
• No photographs or recordings are permitted at any time whilst in any of the escape rooms. Failure to adhere to this will result in your game being forfeited.

• Players should agree that any information about the puzzles and how to solve them will be kept confidential to avoid spoiling the game play for others.

• Enigma Escape will charge customers for any damage which is intentional and/or caused by misuse of items and this must be paid before leaving the premises.

• Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. No cash alternatives or refunds will be given.

GDPR

• On making a booking you accept that, while Enigma Escape takes appropriate steps to protect your information, the internet is not fully secure.
• We take your privacy very seriously and will only use your personal information to facilitate your booking and provide you with the services you have requested from us. We will only collect information that is necessary to provide this service.
• Enigma Escape collects and stores your personal details without disclosing them to any third party. Enigma Escape is committed to ensuring the privacy of that information in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act (DPA) 2018.
• We use Resova to organise our bookings.  You can read their privacy policy here https://get.resova.com/privacy/

• We like to keep our customers informed of future games and promotions to ensure you get your escape room fix.  We will only add your details to our mailing list if you do not opt out when you make your booking.

• We use “Mailchimp” (a company based in the US) to store audience data and communicate via email campaigns. You can read their privacy policy here https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/#_blank

• Enigma Escape has Facebook and Instagram social media pages. Please note that these websites mentioned above have their own privacy policies and we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies.

• Photos of your team may be taken at the end of a game but are not compulsory. These are uploaded to social media sites and may be used for any marketing purposes in the future. If you do not wish for your photos to be used in this manner, please contact us by email or inform your games leader.

• If you have provided your email address and are on our mailing list, you can opt out at any time by clicking UNSUBSCRIBE on any email you receive from us.

• As a data subject you have the right at any time to request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data; to restrict or object to certain kinds of processing of your personal data, including direct marketing; to the portability of your personal data and to complain to the UK’s data protection supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) about the processing of your personal data.

• GIFT VOUCHERS:  Cannot be used with any other offers. Redeemable only at Enigma Escape Cornwall (Truro). No cash alternative. Values correct at time of purchase. If our game pricing increases, you may have to pay an additional fee to cover cost of game. Must be used when booking online, not useable over the phone or as payment at site.
