Established in September 2023, Enigma Escape Cornwall is Truro's most exciting escape room destination!

We are a local independent business with a focus on creating atmospheric and memorable escape room puzzle adventures for you to enjoy! All of our rooms are hand built by us and are completely exclusive to Enigma!

Our unique venue in historic Lemon Street is hidden below street level in a quirky basement of an 18th century town house. All our experiences are vintage themed, each with their own unique stories, puzzles and tasks to complete!

On a personal level I have worked in the Cornwall Escape Room industry for 8 years, starting off as a Games Leader, so if you've played escape rooms in Cornwall in the last few years it's likely we've met!

But my passion truly comes from designing rooms, building the sets, implementing the tech and puzzles. An authentic poster, a creepy sound effect or a crafty hiding place for a key can truly elevate a good escape room into a great one! History and immersive experiences mean a great deal to me, so I promise you're in safe hands!

In April 2024 I started work on what was to become a truly epic passion project - FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN! The first full experience I've built from scratch since taking over the business, it slowly grew into the immersive Lovecraftian horror story we have today, a truly mammoth build. Eventually taking a painstaking 13 months to complete, FEAR opened in May 2025 and has rapidly become one of the most celebrated escape room experiences in Cornwall - I promise you, you won't find anything like it west of the Tamar!

So I hope to meet you soon and I really hope you enjoy our rooms. They are made with love, by people who adore puzzles, history and above all- FUN!
